What happens if I expand the RAM to above the license's limit? Will I get an error message?

If the server exceeds the license's RAM limit, the license will not work; you should receive an error message. 

You can either decrease the server's RAM, or you can upgrade the license to a type that supports the amount of RAM your server has.
